B.Sc AGRICULTURE
The Sahyadri College of Agricultural Engineering is established in August 2013 by Sahyadri Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Limited and affiliated to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, located at Yeshwantnagar, Karad, Satara. Hon’ble Balasaheb Patil (Current Minister of Co-operation and Marketing, Maharashtra State; Guardian Minister, Satara District and Chairman, Sahyadri Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana) is the Chairman of this college. The college is professionally managed and has excellent infrastructure.
The college has highly qualified staff, well equipped laboratories, spacious premises, furnished separate facilities of hostels for girls and boys, central computer laboratory, huge collection of books in library, sport facilities, career guidance, well developed and irrigated farm facilities for research and extension activities. So far, 3 batches have been graduated from our college.

About Institute:-
The institute was established in the year 2013 at yeshwantnagar ,karad run by leading co-operative group in Maharashtra , Sahyadri Sahkari Sakhar Karkhana and affiliated to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri. The institute started with the vision of Hon. Balasaheb Patil , minister of co-operation and marketing govt. of Maharashtra to take the high tech agricultural technologies to the farmers door of surrounding area.
The institute started with the newly established building infrastructure. As on date it is fully developed and provides accommodation for college building, office, classrooms, drawing halls, laboratories, workshops, farms etc. are designed as per the needs of the students. The institute has a good collection of references Book and textbook, periodicals and journals.
Vision:
1. Empowering through quality agricultural engineering technical education.
2. To undertake research work for bringing out good research options for farmers routine work.
3. To take the research findings to farmers field and educate them for new technologies.
Mission:
1.Educate the students to transform them into good agricultural Engineering graduate to put value addition in various spheres of agricultural world.
2. Committed to serve the needs of society at large by providing high tech precise agricultural technologies and to provide knowledge and develop attitudes skills and values leading to establishment of quality research oriented educational institute.

Currently, agricultural land is declining due to increasing urbanization. At the same time, considering the workforce power of the people, modern farming is needed at present. To this end, if industrialization is combined with traditional farming, it will produce more in less time and with less labor. For this, it would be beneficial to educate the children of farmers in our rural areas with agricultural technology.
